Resurrection America- Book Review

I got this book as an ARC for my honest opinion and review. I was not sure what I would find within these pages, but with the way our world is I knew this couple reflect our not so distant future. It takes place in a small town in the mountains. With Rick trying to discover is the cover story for why the military is there with their special gear. He feels like the war has come home with him. All he knows and will know is be test as he is trying to save his home from the military spun stories, the virus and the town’s people declaring marshal law. Will Rick discover the truth behind what is really going on or will it turn into another government cover up? You will have to grab your own copy and find out.

The Crimson Throne- Book Review

I was asked to read this book by the Author. This is her first book. I was not sure what I would find in this book. I found the writing smooth. I was instantly excited by Sadie. I love her sharp tongue and that she did not just give in what was happening to her. The fighter in her just took over. Living most of her life trapped behind wall that were supposed to protect her from the monsters outside the walls. A world taken over by the creatures of the dark side. A world that was no longer in the hands of Humankind. I have to say that I love the way the world was put together. The race to see who will claim the throne and there is no doubt that blood will run freely. This lays a good foundation of this story and the world it takes place in. Can’t wait to see what comes of the rest of this wonderful cast of characters. I can’t wait for a second book and maybe more if we are lucky.

 

 

 

 

 

Configured- Book Review

I got this for my honest opinion and review.  This is my first book by Jenetta Penner. If all of her work is like this one it will not be my last. It has been awhile since I have read any YA. I would like to read some more.  Avlyn was born a twin but due to the way society is set up they are separated. She is taken in by adoptive parents. Her whole life is planned out of her. There are rebel attacks going on in the city. During this time she is getting dreams and visions of her twin brother who she has been told is dead. It really keeps one on their toes. I like there is a little bit of romance in there too. I love mysterious Meyer. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
